I am a legitimate oatmeal cookie monster... I only counted, and as of January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes with you. Eep! Have you tried any of them yet? (? You'll find all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They are some of the most well-known recipes in my blog cause they taste very sweet and cozy, exactly like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined flour or sugar!

So you are going to begin with whole wheat bread (or gluten-free, if you would like ) and immediate oats (such as those... or these for a gluten-free version!) . Immediate oats are thinner and smaller than conventional rolled oats, and you are able to see them at canisters right next to those traditional oats in the grocery store.

I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and also need your cookies to flip out absolutely soft and chewy, I'm reminding you again... Quantify your yogurt and bread correctly, applying this method or even a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and love. It just cost $20!) The remainder of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in a different pure ingredient... Pure maple syrup (like this!) . You want the type that comes straight from maple trees, which is usually offered in thin glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake sugar and sugar!

The peppers include much more natural sweetness! The freshly bought, extra plump, perfectly soft ones are ideal... But for those who have elderly, somewhat dried out raisins (hmm... it seems absurd to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is okay!

Simply add them to some microwave-safe bowl, and put water on top till they're totally covered. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. If you allow the raisins sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small trick hydrates them so they're exceptionally juicy--and that makes a difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Yields: 15 biscuits

These oatmeal cookies are tender, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The familiar comfy spices and plump blueberries make them even more irresistible. They will keep for a minumum of one week if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator--should they last long!


1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if mandatory and quantified like this)

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (quantified like this)

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder



1/4 teaspoon salt





1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup

1/4 cup (40g) raisins

In a medium bowlwhisk together the yogurt, pasta, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowlwhisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Stir in the maple syrup. Add in the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Let the cookie dough rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Using a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 curved scoops onto the sheet, and flatten to the desired depth and width using Healthy Oatmeal Banana Cookies Recipe - Genius Kitchen a spatula. Bake in 325°F for about 10-12 minutes.
